The quality and type of granules depends on the raw materials and production technology. Wood pellets with a high bark content are usually dark in color, while debarked wood pellets are usually light in color. Each type of granule has its own characteristics and is designed for something different. During the production process, for example, during drying, the granules may “burn” slightly, and then they turn from white to gray. Although this does not affect such consumer properties of granules as heat capacity, ash content, strength, etc.
